This is always a powerful time of ministry. David and Greta are annual investors into Chapel. Equipping us and inspiring us in the work of the ministry so we learn more about the supernatural God we serve and love. A must for all maturity levels. Walk in courage not fear.
Chapel Burleigh and Chapel Coomera host an Easter Sunday morning service for the whole family.
It's very exciting to plant another church in our great city of Gold Coast.
Where? - Not sure yet . . . hang fire.
Breaking Bread is how we celebrate communion at Chapel. Once a month we have a shared lunch in different settings and commune together over the 'table of the Lord', as it were. We share with each other our journey of faith. It's usually a long lunch.
For the Sunday of Chapel Coomera's start we intend to finish Broadbeach and Burleigh a little earlier so people can come and celebrate with Malcolm and Bernie and the team.
What's a BANQUET?
Twice a year Chapel runs a Banquet. A Banquet is where we put a whole lot of teaching on the table for you to come and eat some truth to nourish your Spirit, Soul and Body. The meal’s range from 4-12 weeks long, with the occasional workshop or intensive added for additional input. You can pick up a menu from mid-Feb.
We encourage you to invite someone along with you so you can enjoy a meal from the banquet table together. You are welcome to have as many meals as you like – maybe out of interest; for more understanding, to be challenged or the need for fresh revelation; but for whatever reason, see it through to the end. You are what you eat!
Banquet #2 2017
The second Banquet will start August through to end of October. It will be a new menu; with some repeat dishes to eat from. So if you can’t taste a certain plate this time around, you might be able to part-take next time. We will also be asking for your evaluation / feedback from each of the banquets you try.
What happens between Banquets?
A great question. Do we have small groups, connect groups? – well yes and no. The book of Acts presents a really healthy picture of people (the church) breaking bread from house to house eating together with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favour with ALL the people.
At Chapel we like to encourage everyone to walk across the room, invite someone over for a meal, get to know them and what God has done in their life, break bread, pray and care for each other. This doesn’t have to be regulated, formulated or legislated by structure or program, but whatever, wherever, whoever and however you decide. Lets ‘be’ the church and live in authentic community, encouraging each other in our walk with Christ.
Bit of fun, friendly competition, full-on encouragement and finish with a bit of food. This is for all men including our NYC young men.
Early morning WOD, swim at Burleigh, big-as breakfast with a good discussion. There will be a cost for the breakfast.
MORE DETAILS TO COME, you don't have to register for Friday night but Saturday breakfast is limited to 80 so you'll have to RSVP to that.
